The location is very important, and we have used creepy corridor. This shows the audience that we specialise in making horror films. we decided on the idea of a corridor of a haunted house because it ties in with the name of our production company, 'possessed productions' as typically ghosts and people who are possessed haunt these creepy old houses. This corridor lets in little light, this gives the location an eerie feel.
The clip has very little movement, this is to create a feeling of nervousness with the audience. As we want the audience to know that we only make horror films, we needed to create a clip that had a horror feel to it. We achieved this by having someone walk slowly down a corridor, it could show or represent a number of things, one of them being that the person is in danger, or possibly it could show someone is wounded and is trying to escape an everlasting corridor.
The clip has very little lighting in it, we wanted to make our production company logo look eerie. With little light being let through, it leaves the audience unaware of whats in the background, allowing us to put a jump scare in there; with the face at the end. The only light that is let in, is light that comes through the windows. This light is translucent, and is flows through smoke to make the room seem darker, and making the light seem irrelevant.
We chose 'creepy' sound for our production company clip, because we wanted to play on the idea of 'possessed' as in traditional paranormal horror films, when a character gets possessed, it's usually a child. In these films, the child usually plays with a jack in the box, or something similar but creepy all the same. The sound that is played in a jack in the box, is scary to most people and is always a sound the unnerves people. We also added footsteps, that gradually got louder and louder as the clip goes on. They are spaced out, this shows that there could be a predator walking in the shadows of the poorly lit corridor.
we have used a neutral shot, to shows someone walking. However the person walking is the camera, having a Cloverfield effect to simulate the audience being the person in that situation. This makes the audience more nervous for the character.
The actor in the clip isn't shown at all. As we don't see him/her walking or talking, it is let to the audience to what he looks like, this creates a character for the actor, without actually setting up a character bio and without actually seeing the actors face.

This is the logo that is used for Twisted Pictures they make the Saw films and have always made horror films. This is why their production company logo is horror themed. They also played on the theme of their name, as twisted is being twisted in the animation. We wanted to do a similar thing, with calling our production company an association with horror 'Possessed' and we wanted to make our clip creepy and feel like the character in it is possessed.
This is another production company who specialises in making horror films. Founded in 2002, they are most known for making the 'Grudge' trilogy. They have used the idea of a skeleton in a house, a house that is possessed by a ghost, as the door shuts without explanation or reason behind it. We wanted to use elements of this in our distribution company, especially the idea of a haunted house, as it played well with our name.
