To make our risk assessment, we researched other examples of risk assessments. This helped us to recognise what was vital to include and the type of detail we needed to write in. A risk assessment needs to include the hazard/risk, the level of the risk (with one being low and four being high), the likelihood of the the injury occurring (again with one being the lowest and four being the highest), what needs to be done about it, what action should be taken, who must the action be taken by and the result of the precautions being followed. The below examples were very helpful because they had good levels of detail and information in which we found valuable in relation to how to complete a risk assessment for a trailer such as ours.
Below is a copy of our completed risk assessment filled out on a template we created inspired by the above examples. We have included 7 different hazards, with information linking risk level and likelihood of the risk occurring as well as prevention, precautions and action. The final column shows the result of the precautions being put into place.
In conclusion, we as a group have created a trailer risk assessment that ensures that we are safe when filming our trailer. Without such a document, if things were to go wrong then there would be later consequences but the document covers us in our stunts and actions while filming. We therefore as a group have developed a high quality document to ensure that we are safe while filming.
