1) Living Room
This is a classic living room, and although we did not film in here, it was important as it is major part of a house. Initially as we looked at Enfield Haunting as a inspiration for our trailer, there were certain scenes we wanted to adapt from, however, we felt that it did not fit with the story line, and it was impossible to do certain special effects due to health and safety issues.
2) Kitchen
We filmed most of our scenes in the kitchen, as that is where we captured most of our supernatural scenes, as well as that, it's also very spacious. We filmed the scenes where the girl was cooking, and weird occurrences start happening to the girl, such as cupboards opening, pots and pans falling out, and knives moving to have a danger effect. It was also quite easy to set up special effects, as we just filmed everything normally, and edited the clips on the macs to create the horror, and bring the effects to life. For example in the scene where the pots and pans are falling out the cupboards, we attached strings and pulled them out the cupboards, then used the mac to colour correct the clip so it looked realistic.
3) Stairway
We tried to film a sequence on the stairway of when the girl is being dragged up the stairs, although we couldn't perfect it properly due to safety and hazards, so we discarded the idea. However, this was a perfect place to film horror, as we could have done shots of the girl walking up the stairs and falling, but because the stairway was too hard, we felt that this could have been very hazardous.
4)Bathroom
Initially we had a scene where the girl was in the shower and hears weird sounds, but we didn't use the shot as there was a change on the storyline and we didn't need the clip. Although we did use the scene in our initial practice shots. In addition, some of the problems we had with filming in the shower is being weary of the equipment and making sure that we do not get it wet. Also, when turning on the shower it gets very steamy, and effects the camera lenses, making it harder to film, because of the condensation on the lense of the camera.
5) Garage
A garage is a part of the house, and although we didn't film any scenes for our trailer in it, we filmed clips for our SWEDE in it.
6) Car
We filmed the start of our trailer in a car, as the girl is seen driving the car. We felt that his was a good way to set the scene of the trailer. As well as that, we felt it was a good location to film the start of the trailer, because of the mystery of what going to happen.. Furthermore, because our trailer is set in the twenty-first century, we felt that filming in the car was a good way to show progress of technology from enfield haunting, to modern day horror.
7)Bedroom
We filmed scenes of the girl and her friend in the bedroom as that's where most of the supernatural occurrences happened. We also filmed the girl's friend being hung from the curtains in one of our poltergeist scenes. It was very effective, as the friend sat on the window sill, but we only shot her feet and face to show her being hung, which we edited to make very real and very scary on the macs.
8) School
We filmed the two girls walking and laughing in this location to show happy memories before all the horror begins. As well as that, it also contradicts the idea of a safe house, because a school is meant to be safe place where not a dangerous place. So therefore, we felt it was a good place to show the contrast.
