Within a horror trailer, props have the ability to change the perception of a shot, allowing for the shot to be seen by an audience in a particular way. As a result of this, the choice of props in which we as a group chose to use reflected the emotions in which we wanted our target audience to experience as well as creating a storyline in which is enhanced by the props chosen. Within our paanormal trailer, we feel that the use of dangerous props will give the trailer an effet to which the audience feel that anyone can be effected. In addition to this, we also believe that using some more innocent props and scenery such as doors can allow for the perception that the same could happen to anybody who watches the trailer.
Within our trailer, the car is a prop which becomes the basis for a significant proportion of the trailer. Within Lara, one of the two females are based within the car; they are trapped within the car unable to get put. The car represents the small space in which the girl is trapped within while while showing that safe places can become dangerous.

Within our trailer, Lara, the phone used between the two girls acts as a distraction from the horrors and 'goings-on' within the house. The two girls are using the phone when there are activities within the house, although the poltergeist isn't communicating through the phone, it is possible that the phone may hold answers within the subsequent film.

The vase's main use within our trailer, Lara, is during the titles. Titles are important within a trailer for portraying information towards an audience without giving away significant volumes of information. We used household objects within our titles so that the audience know that normal objects can become dangerous.
The plate's main use within Lara, our trailer, is within the titles. We used household objects within our titles so that the audience know that normal objects can become dangerous. When the audience view the titles, they read the text and see common objects ruined showing a danger in everyday life.
Knives are dangerous objects within reality, and within Lara knives are used to escalate the drama within the trailer and show an example of danger amongst the unusual choice of objects elsewhere. The knives are used to make one of the two girls become vulnerable therefore provoking a reaction form the onlooking audience.
The mug is a simple household objects found around every modern day house, we used household objects within our titles so that the audience know that normal objects can become dangerous. The mug is smashed within one of the title sequences to show the dangers of a poltergeist playing with what are seen as safe objects.

Within trailers such as Lara, lighting is paramount in creating the presence of a poltergeist or supernatural being. Lighting is used as a prop within our trailer to suggest interference with not only the girls' lives but the house in which they're situated in. The flickering lights suggests an operator, for whom is unknown within Lara.
Like the use of Knives, hobs are found within most houses and can become very very dangerous. The use of gas and flames within Lara suggests the overall danger in which the supernatural being or poltergeist possesses. The use of this prop allows for the audience to think of subsequent actions such as gas poisoning or explosions.
We used household objects within our titles so that the audience know that normal objects can become dangerous. One such household object in which we have used for our titles is a glass. The simple drinking glass is smashed as part of one of our titles to provoke the thoughts of the audience; what if this happens to me?
One such object in which we as a group use to promote the presence of a poltergeist or supernatural being is the book. Within one scene of Lara, a book falls out of a bookshelf unprovoked while one of the two subject girls are nearby. We filmed this sequence to show that the poltergeist has a presence throughout all areas of the trailer.
Not always considered a prop, we decided to include a cat as a prop within Lara, our trailer. The reasoning behind this related to the links made between cats and supernatural beings, poltergeists and abnormal beings such as witches. This isn't a direct message to the audience about paranormal on goings but it is a more indirect message.
Like the use of the cat, cupboards wouldn't usually be named as props within such trailers as Lara. However, the cupboards are used to show the presence of the poltergeist or supernatural being and so we have listed the cupboards within the trailer as props. They open without warning, triggering a response with the subject female on screen.
Like the decision to include cupboards and cats as props, the use of doors is similar. In trailers such as Lara, doors are used to present the audience with proof of the poltergeists presence. The subject female uses force or powers to open the door with the aid of the poltergeist, hence the use of the door in our list of props.
The use of pans within our trailer, Lara, as a prop relates to other listed props such as cupboards. The pan falls out of the cupboard without warning, after the opening of the cupboard. The use of the pan represents, once more, the use of household objects which are seemingly safe to provoke danger within a situation.
One such prop in which we as a group included within our trailer, Lara, was a fake eye. We concluded that this would be a good choice in prop to ensure that the audience felt change within the trailer. The use of this prop in combination to the use of a 'normal' eye allows for a comparison to be made as a result of the poltergeists actions.
While not strictly classed as a prop, curtains were used as props within Lara for use as a noose. The use of a household object to become part of killing or potentially killing a vulnerable female allows for the audience to feel provoked to watch the subsequent film to see why the girl began to be strangled.
Mirrors were used within our trailer, Lara, both in the car and as the camera itself. Within the use of car mirrors, the mirrors allowed for the audience to get a new perspective of the female subject from a different angle. The use of the camera as a mirror allows for the female to have a connection with the camera, looking directly into it.

In conclusion, props are vital in the production of a trailer such as Lara in adding texture and context to scenes within the trailer. As a result of this, props have the ability to turn a calm situation into one full of danger or turning a somewhat dangerous scene into one of tranquility. One such example of this is the scene within Lara is where the female subject is calm and then there are knives present. The knives turn a normal situation into one of danger and distress for the female subject therefore provoking a reaction from the audience. Overall, props are paramount in allowing for a certain portrayal of a scene.
